The Shoebox. A place for lil' apps to live in peace and harmony.

This is a bouncing-discs toy which was created side-by-side with seven-and-a-half-year-old Teddy, with his encouragement and ideas. Teddy’s last suggestion was: “Put it on the internet! Everybody’s going to love it!” So here it is.

Left-clicking or hitting return:
  • adds a disc
  • randomizes movement and size on all discs
  • randomizes color on all discs and the background
Right-clicking or hitting spacebar:
  • toggles “flashy mode” in which color on everything is constantly randomized. Epileptics beware!
hitting escape:
  • exits

Fantastic!!

Now, a lot of color spheres are bouncing on my pc. So beautiful!

Thanks for the fancy Shoes app, the seven-year-old project manager. :)

Rather an odd question from a Ruby n00b: When I tried to run v0.3 with Shoes I received an undefined method: debug at line 51 error. Commenting out the line caused it to run perfectly.

Any thoughts? Am I missing something obvious here?

How do I use this?
