Things for you guys to do:- Have a percentage show while downloading (it’s already threaded, you just need to find a more flexible alternative to open-uri’s open() )
Oh and yeah, I used the controls from the simple-video.rb sample to save some typing, not a major theft really.
And double click the video for fullscreen.

What system are you on? The save button should ask you where you want to save the video, then show a little dialogue box showing it’s progress in saving. Do you have the latest shoes? I’ve only tested it on XP.
