Sudoku is a famous puzzle. Look at Wikipedia.
Steve Pugh, auther of Wicked Cool Ruby Scripts, gave me a good suggestion in the first ever Book Promotion Class of RubyLearning. So, I wrote this tiny Shoes app. :)
Sudoku on Shoes uses a fantastic Sudoku Solver created by Jim Weirich. Thanks!

Let’s enjoy Sudoku game. You can create your original sudoku puzzles!!

Anyone interested in this game should check-out the most recent version from GitHub: http://github.com/ashbb/sudoku_on_shoes/tree/master
The generator creates random Sudokus on the push of a button, which can be saved for later (and solved) or be played immediately.
Even ‘medium’ and ‘hard’ Sudokus are though not really demanding for the “profi-player”, but you can alter a setting inside the generator-script which reduces the number of given numbers in the new Sudokus. Unfortunately, the generator becomes very slow, when asked to create Sudokus with less than 33 numbers…
And I have not found a better way to classify random Sudokus, than by the number of initially filled cells.
But this game is great fun, which is mostly due to ashbb’s wonderful Shoes-work! :-)
